Positive Role Modelling

With the dramatic influx of roadway accidents and deaths back in 2016, we felt we had to do something. In May of 2016, we started working with the Halton Regional Police on our Community Road Watch initiative. Over the last number of months, we have been visiting school zones and problematic intersections in, Oakville. If we have seen you texting and driving, intentionally running a red light, or driving aggressively, we have snapped a photo of your plate and reported it to the Police. Is this being a rat? Maybe, but if what we are doing saves even one life, then it is worth it. The senseless deaths on our roadways need to stop! Are we taking the law into our own hands? Not at all, we don’t chase these drivers down or confront them; We act as another pair of eyes and ears for our Community’s Police, and let them deal with the traffic offenders.

If you have had enough of the unneeded dangerous driving, we would like to take this opportunity to urge you to do the right thing, and report it here. If you don’t have the time to do this, but still want to help, please message us and we can put your location of concern on our list of problem spots to keep our eyes on. Again, the police are crystal clear on the subject; There is to be NO confrontation or chasing down of drivers. Report it to the right channels, and let the Police do their job.
